Staying Active and Independent for Life (SAIL)
The Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) program is an evidence-based strength, balance and fitness class for adults 65+.
About the class
SAIL is a fitness class for older adults focused on mobility, strength building, flexibility and fall prevention. The class meets three times a week for an hour. It includes warm-up, aerobics, balance, strength training and stretching exercises that can be done seated or standing. Two SAIL program guides provide written education that focuses on fall prevention.

- People age 65 and older
- This includes people with mild mobility difficulty, such as people who occasionally use a cane or walker
